I'm sure it would be very difficult for them to even briefly entertain the idea that there won't be a paradise earth.

My friend made it very plain when he invited me, that if I didn’t believe in the Bible and its promise of a New Earth, then this meeting wasn’t for me and I should look elsewhere. One of the brothers who got up to give the first talk explain the reason for meeting and she used this scripture

(Proverbs 27:17) . . .By iron, iron itself is sharpened. So one man sharpens the face of another.

From there he went on and used scriptures related to the paradise earth like 2 peter-“New Heavens and a New Earth that we are awaiting” and others like it.

These guys and gals want nothing to do with apostates or the WT. But they are too old to start another religion which is why they only meet a few time a year---which is just to encourage and probable socialize

tim3l0rd Thanks for that info. So I guess the 30-40s are like split in half. Those that embrace the internet are waking up and those that don't are going into a deeper sleep.

The difference with these older ones that I met with is they don't embrace the internet. They don't follow the WT because of broken promises and the drastic changes. That's why they don't view themselves as apostates. And they still believe in the paradise earth and the Bible. They have not exposed themselves to criticisms of the Bible.

It's interesting how this input from everyone is helping us group those still in the Borg. It gives us something to work with to help some of them wake up.

Interesting, so this age seems to be the cut-off point of putting up with all the foolishness of the WT doctrine. From 30 down, very few are staying. To much information on the internet.

Maybe there is and we aren't aware. Last week I would have never imagine there was a group like this. It's was kind of weird for me to be their because they are not JWs and they are not apostates. So what are they?

But I agree, the environment is not conducive anymore to start some other religion. Although from what they told me, that is not their intention. They meet only a few times a year to encourage one another to keep the faith in God and his promise of a New World. Plus they are to old to really do anything in an organized manner. Their basically done.

Maybe it's better they didn't. Learning ttatt is heartbreaking. This way they passed away in Peace.

OrphanCrow - that's a lot of splinter groups.

So this is nothing new. The only problem with this group that I went to is that they will all be gone in the next 20 years. The youngest couple was 65 years old and some of the older one were in their late 80s.

I don't think young ones are forming any splinter groups.

Once the old remnants of the WT organization are GONE, then that will be the day when the WT will close its doors and open a NEW Religious organization. One that has nothing to do with 1914, blood, Last days.

Watchtower will finally be gone!

LOL! You know, you hit it smack on the nail. It all makes sense now about the young ones I see. I couldn't figure it out till now that you said that. They really don't care. Most of them couldn't care less about being elders or Ministerial Servants. They want a life and nothing and no one is going to stop them.

You always learn something on this board.

BTW what about the 30s-40s jws. They are not facebook generation but at the same time they are not the 60s and up who gave up their life. They are like in limbo? What do you think about them?

I'm in that age group but what's kind of weird, is I left just before the changes started taking place. Which i believe helped me from going bonkers. These guys are not apostates, so in a sense they are still stuck but at the same time they are free-- if that makes any sense.

It confirms that the older you get having lived all your life in the hopes of the big A you must start having doubts about the company you've been working for all your life

If you been around the WT as long as I have, and have given your all to believing the end was coming in your generation, then they change it, you can't help but have doubts, it's only human. If you don't have doubts, it's because your not normal. Something is missing, like a screw or two, in the old nogger.

Yea, me to. I never would have imagine things like this taking place. Not in my wildest dreams. I was suppose to be in "God's Only True Organization" And now look at what's happening. It can really drive a person crazy if he thinks to much of it.

Please find out where they meet in Texas. I am curious as to who I may find there.

I did ask if I could go to the next meeting, he said sure. The thing is they only meet about 3 times a year. I guess this is just starting to take off. But I will ask next time what cities in Texas.

What's interesting is that they are very leary of anyone under a certain age, I'm thinking 60s. That's why I believe this thing is something brand new.
